Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing customised training programmes to optimise athletic performance, prevent injuries, and support athletes in achieving their goals. Responsibilities
- Develop personalised strength and conditioning programmes tailored to individual athlete needs and sport-specific demands.
- Conduct fitness assessments and analyse athlete performance to inform programme adjustments.
- Teach proper exercise techniques, ensuring safety and effectiveness during training sessions.
- Provide ongoing coaching, motivation, and support to help athletes reach their peak performance levels.
- Monitor progress through regular evaluations and adjust programmes accordingly.
- Educate athletes on injury prevention, recovery strategies, and overall wellness practices.
- Maintain a safe training environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with coaches, physiotherapists, and other sports professionals to optimise athlete development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching or strength and conditioning roles.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Relevant qualifications in sports science, exercise physiology, or related fields are highly desirable.
- Ability to motivate athletes and foster a positive training environment.
- Organised with excellent time management skills to plan effective training sessions.
- A recognised certification in strength and conditioning (such as UKSCA, NSCA or CSCS) is preferred but not essential.
