This entry-level role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to work towards your L3 AAT qualification (Online Self Study package)—perfect for those starting their career or seeking a career change.
You will work as part of within the Outsourcing Team, in this Full-Time position, from our Leamington Spa office.
What you’ll be doing:
- Data Entry: Process client purchase invoices, receipts, and bank statements.
- Transaction Coding: Categorise income and expenses accurately across client portfolios.
- Bank Management: Post daily bank transactions and resolve unmatched feed items.
- Ledger Maintenance: Balance sales and purchase ledgers for multiple clients.
- Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements against software records.
- Client Queries: Act as first contact for basic bookkeeping questions.
- Record Chasing: Request missing invoices, receipts, and information from clients.
- VAT Preparation: Assist in drafting client VAT returns and checking tax codes.
- Software Mastery: Learn cloud-based accounting platforms to execute daily tasks.
- Team Admin: Handle essential admin duties to maximise the efficiency of the team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Follow strict procedures to ensure all client records stay compliant.
What You’ll Get:
- Entry salary £23,500 per annum.
- Full financial support package to achieve your AAT Level 3 qualification.
- 35 hour working week, (2pm finish on Friday’s)
- 22 days holiday + bank holidays.
- Christmas Shutdown (4 additional days holiday – Christmas Eve to New Year)

What We’re Looking For:
- Holds GCSEs at grade 5 (C) or higher in Maths & English. - Required for AAT L3.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in accounting, whether you're starting fresh or transitioning from another field.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
- An excellent communicator (verbal & written)
- Reliable and committed to achieving AAT qualification.
- A conscientious & empathetic team player who is goal driven.
Hours: Mon to Thu 08:30 till 16:30 & Fri 08:30 till 14.00
