About the role

You’re an innovative thinker, passionate about the planet and eager to play a role in creating sustainable packaging that keeps the world healthy, fed and working. You’ll be delivering high-quality engineering support across electrical and mechanical disciplines, ensuring optimal performance of production assets through planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Shift pattern : Monday-Friday 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm. These shifts will alternate.

Key Job Accountabilities

As part of the Multi-Skilled Engineer Team you’ll be responsible for…

Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on automated and semi-automated production equipment.
Diagnose faults using electrical and mechanical schematics, PLC interfaces, and instrumentation tools.
Support CI projects, equipment upgrades, and refurbishment activities.
Maintain compliance with BRC, 6S, and site-specific H&S protocols.
Document maintenance activities and communicate technical findings to engineering leadership.
Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action planning.

Qualifications/Requirements

Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
Proven experience in a Maintenance Engineering role, including fault finding, repair, and maintenance of industrial machinery.
Competency in at least one core discipline (Electrical or Mechanical) with working knowledge of the other may be considered.
Familiarity with production technologies, sensors, actuators, drives, and control systems.
Desirable: Experience in plastics manufacturing and lean engineering environments.
