Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Retail Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining the store’s organisation, and supporting the post office. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant retail environment, and is suitable for individuals with strong communication skills and organisational abilities. Post office experience is preferred, however training will be provided, this consists of multiple full days of training.

Serious enquiries only, we are looking for people who are willing to stay long term.

Duties

Greeting customers warmly and assisting with their enquiries in a professional manner both at the shop and the post office.
Organising and replenishing stock on shelves to ensure attractive displays
Supporting merchandising initiatives to promote seasonal or special items
Handling transactions accurately at the checkout counter
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the store environment
Communicating effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations
Supporting promotional activities and events as required

Experience

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred especially anyone with a post office background.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage stock levels efficiently
Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse customers effectively

Pay: £12.71 per hour
