Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Newlands Holidays. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Prior experience in hospitality or janitorial services is advantageous, but full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards delivering exceptional service.

Duties

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities to meet established standards
Change bed linens, towels, and replenish amenities as required
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene
Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and linen supplies
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Assist with laundry duties when necessary
Adhere to organisational policies regarding confidentiality and guest privacy

Experience

Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
