Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner/Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and other material structures on-site and in workshops. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a wide range of carpentry skills within a dynamic construction environment, contributing to diverse projects including roofing, joinery, and general building works. Applicants should possess strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently under supervision.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble bespoke timber components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Install frameworks, fixtures, fittings, and finishes in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and fitting woodwork with precision
Assist with roofing projects by installing trusses, battens, or other roofing components
Conduct basic plumbing and electrical work where required for integrated building projects
Carry out masonry tasks such as bricklaying or blockwork when needed
Apply construction painting techniques to prepare surfaces for finishing
Undertake heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on-site
Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety standards
Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently

Experience

Proven experience in carpentry or joinery within the construction industry
Familiarity with fabrication, assembly processes, and the use of hand tools and power tools
Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing, electrical systems, or construction painting is advantageous
Experience working on diverse projects such as residential builds, commercial developments or refurbishment works
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Demonstrated capability for heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks in a construction setting
Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or related trades are desirable but not essential

Pay: £160.00-£250.00 per day
