Role Purpose
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, securing, and onboarding suitable properties and landlords to support Cedar Care Group’s housing and real estate operations. The role focuses on identifying new housing opportunities, building strong relationships with landlords, agents, and property owners, and ensuring that all procured properties meet the organization's operational, compliance, safety, and quality standards.
This position plays a key role in expanding Cedar Care Group’s housing portfolio by negotiating favourable terms, supporting property viewings and assessments, and working closely with internal teams to ensure properties are suitable, cost-effective, and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure suitable residential properties to support Cedar Care Group’s housing and accommodation requirements.
- Identify, approach, and build relationships with landlords, letting agents, estate agents, property developers, and other housing providers.
- Negotiate rental terms, lease agreements, management arrangements, and other property-related contracts to achieve best value for the organisation.
- Conduct market research to identify available properties, landlord opportunities, and suitable locations for business growth.
- Arrange and attend property viewings where required, assessing suitability based on location, size, condition, cost, compliance, and service-user needs.
- Work closely with the Assets, Housing, Compliance, and Operations Teams to ensure potential properties meet required standards before onboarding.
- Support due diligence checks on landlords, agents, and properties, including ownership, lease terms, compliance documentation, and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain an active pipeline of potential properties, landlord contacts, negotiations, and onboarding progress.
- Ensure all property procurement activities are properly documented, tracked, and reported to management.
- Liaise with internal teams to coordinate property handover, repairs, inspections, compliance checks, and readiness for occupancy.
- Monitor local rental markets and competitor activity to support effective property acquisition strategies.
- Develop and maintain positive long-term relationships with landlords and agents to secure repeat opportunities.
- Ensure all property procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, contractual obligations, and housing standards.
- Prepare regular updates and reports on property leads, acquisitions, negotiations, costings, and portfolio growth.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Cedar Care Group’s property sourcing and landlord acquisition processes.

Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in property procurement, lettings, estate agency, landlord liaison, housing, or real estate acquisition.
- Experience working with landlords, letting agents, estate agents, or property developers.
- Knowledge of housing standards, tenancy/lease arrangements, property compliance, and health and safety requirements.
- Experience within supported housing, social housing, care accommodation, or property management would be an advantage.
Role Summary
The Procurement Officer will be a key contributor to Cedar Care Group’s property growth by sourcing and securing suitable homes, developing landlord relationships, and supporting the smooth onboarding of new properties into the housing portfolio. The successful candidate will be commercially minded, confident in negotiation, and able to balance business growth with compliance, quality, and service-user needs.
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
