Job Summary
Due to an upcoming emigration we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full Time Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and culinary arts, with experience in butchery and food preparation. This role involves preparing high-quality meat products, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our food service operations. The successful applicant will play a vital role in delivering exceptional products to our customers while adhering to strict hygiene and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cut, and process various types of meat according to specified standards and recipes
Ensure all meat products are handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area and equipment
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed
Support the team in food preparation tasks within the kitchen environment
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent contamination or accidents
Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge and advice when required

Requirements

Proven experience in food production, culinary arts, or butchery
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of food preparation techniques specific to meat products
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Flexibility to work full-time hours, including early mornings or weekends if required
