Full job description

Summary

D & M Design & Fabrication Ltd is a successful and fast paced sheet metal subcontract business based near Ripon, North Yorkshire. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Trainee or Experienced Press Brake Operator to expand our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in sheet metal fabrication and engineering. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Learn to safely operate CNC press brake machinery under supervision.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Machine setup, tooling changes and material handling.
Produce metal components to specified dimensions and quality standards.
Carry out routine quality checks using measuring equipment.
Daily cleaning and maintenance of press brakes, tooling and work area.
Follow all company health and safety procedures

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT AND VALID UK DRIVING LICENCE, DUE TO OUR RURAL LOCATION.
Good attitude and willing to learn.
Reliable and punctual.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Physically capable of handling metal components safely.

Desirable:

Previous manufacturing, engineering or workshop experience
Experience using hand tools
Understanding of engineering drawings

Rate of Pay negotiable depending on experience

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
