Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role combines patient care with administrative duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting dental procedures, managing appointments, and providing excellent customer service. Prior experience in dental nursing or reception is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a professional healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Assisting dentists during clinical procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment
Providing compassionate patient care and support throughout their visit
Managing appointment scheduling and patient records with organisational precision
Greeting patients warmly and handling enquiries both in person and over the phone
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean, hygienic environment
Handling administrative tasks such as updating patient information and processing payments
Supporting the team with IT systems related to patient management and record keeping

Skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members
Good organisational skills to manage appointments, records, and administrative duties efficiently
Basic IT skills for operating dental practice management software and other digital systems
Patient care skills to provide reassurance and support to patients of all ages
Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided
Fluency in English is required to ensure clear communication within the team and with patients

This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, compassionate, and eager to work within a supportive healthcare environment. Full training will be provided to help you succeed in this rewarding position.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
