Your Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner to join our workshop team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to some of the finest bespoke interior projects in the country, from concept to installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture high-end, custom cabinetry to precise specifications
- Interpret and work accurately from technical drawings and production plans
- Operate a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
- Collaborate with our design and installation teams to ensure flawless execution
- Maintain a strong attention to detail and uphold our commitment to craftsmanship
- Contribute to the assembly and fitting of completed pieces when required
Specialist Work in the Audio Industry
Phoenix Joinery also delivers premium solutions for media and cinema rooms, working closely with AV specialists and audio consultants. Candidates with an understanding of acoustic treatments, speaker housing, and media integration, or a keen interest in learning these skills, will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in the growing audio and entertainment interiors sector. These include:
- Custom cabinetry for hidden AV equipment
- Built-in speaker systems and acoustic panelling
- Integrated lighting and sound solutions in luxury home cinemas
The successful candidate must have:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cabinet making or bench joinery
- Proficiency in using workshop tools and machinery
- A strong understanding of manufacturing techniques for bespoke furniture
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Exceptional attention to detail and finishing standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good time management and flexibility to meet deadlines
- Right to live and work in the UK
Preferred but not essential:
- Relevant woodworking or joinery qualifications
- Experience with cabinetry
