Weekend Bar Staff Wanted | Be the Heart of Our Family-Run Venue
We’re looking for smiley, charismatic bar staff to join our family-run team in one of Durham’s most versatile hospitality venues. From pouring pints in our lively main bar, to crafting cocktails in our laid-back Foxes Club, to helping at private functions and events — this is a role full of variety, personality, and opportunity.
Some shifts are fast-paced and full-on. Others are quieter — and that’s when your friendly presence really matters. We want someone who brings energy to every shift, keeps standards high, and makes guests feel at home, whether it’s Saturday night or a sleepy Wednesday.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve a full range of drinks: beers, wines, spirits, cocktails, coffees, and more.
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere — even during quieter times.
- Adapt between three bars with different vibes and customer needs.
- Support private events and functions, keeping service smooth and guests happy.
- Keep the bar clean, organised, and fully stocked.
- Help with stock levels, reporting shortages when needed.
- Process payments accurately and confidently.
Who You Are:
- Confident, friendly, and naturally good with people.
- Experienced behind the bar — you know how to work a tap, mix a drink, and stay calm when it’s busy.
- Able to hold a great conversation during slower shifts and keep the energy upbeat.
- Comfortable moving between quieter lounge service and lively event nights.
- A genuine team player who also knows how to take initiative.
