Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum

Working Arrangement: Full Time | 37.5 Hours Per Week | Mon – Fri

Apprenticeship: Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship

Qualification: Free level 3 CIM Foundation Certificate worth £600+

Our client is a well-established distributor of specialist sporting equipment, supplying retailers, clubs and teams across the UK.

Operating within a passionate and enthusiastic sporting community, they work with a range of leading brands and are recognised for their expertise, service and product knowledge. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to invest in their marketing function and develop an apprentice who can become a key part of the team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit business where you'll work directly with experienced professionals, gain exposure to a wide range of marketing activities and see the direct impact of your work.

About the Role

As a Marketing Apprentice, you'll support the promotion of the business, its products and the brands it represents across digital and offline marketing channels.

This is a broad and varied role that would suit someone creative, organised and eager to learn. You'll gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media, email marketing, product promotion, graphic design, website updates and campaign delivery.

Working closely with the directors and wider team, you'll receive ongoing support and mentoring throughout your apprenticeship. As your skills and confidence develop, you'll be encouraged to take increasing ownership of marketing activities, projects and campaigns.

The business is looking for someone who wants more than just an apprenticeship. They are looking to develop someone who can become a long-term part of the organisation and play a significant role in its future marketing activity.

Responsibilities

As part of the role, you may be involved in:

Content Creation & Social Media

Creating engaging content for social media platforms
Assisting with the planning, scheduling and publishing of social media content
Producing graphics, promotional assets and marketing materials using Canva and other creative tools
Supporting product photography and content creation projects
Writing marketing copy for social media, email campaigns and website content

Digital Marketing

Assisting with email marketing campaigns and customer communications
Supporting product launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns
Helping maintain and update website content and product information
Monitoring campaign performance and engagement metrics
Researching industry trends, competitors and marketing opportunities

Brand & Product Marketing

Supporting the creation of product catalogues and promotional materials
Assisting with point-of-sale and trade marketing assets
Helping manage brand assets, imagery and marketing resources
Working with suppliers and brand partners where required
Contributing ideas to improve brand awareness and customer engagement

Projects & Business Growth

Supporting the planning and delivery of marketing projects
Assisting with both consumer-facing and trade-focused marketing activity
Helping ensure marketing materials remain accurate and up to date
Taking increasing ownership of marketing activities as your apprenticeship progresses

Ideal Candidate Requirements

We're looking for someone who is:

Has the right to live and work in the UK
Achieved C/4 and above in English and maths GCSEs or equivalents
Enthusiastic, positive and eager to learn
Creative and willing to contribute ideas
Organised with strong attention to detail
Confident communicating with different people
Able to work independently and take initiative when required
Interested in marketing and how businesses grow
Keen to take ownership of projects and develop new skills

Desirable

An interest in sport, particularly niche or enthusiast sports
Experience using Canva or similar design software
Experience creating content for social media
Strong written communication skills

Please note that due to the location of the business, applicants should ensure they can reliably travel to and from the workplace each day.

About the Apprenticeship

This role is being delivered through a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship with The Marketing Trainer.

Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll receive structured training covering:

Social media marketing
Content creation
Email marketing
Marketing strategy and planning
Data and campaign analysis
Brand development
Customer insight
Marketing technologies and tools

You'll also gain a CIM Foundation Certificate in Marketing as part of the programme, helping you develop industry-recognised knowledge and practical skills.

Upon successful completion, there will be the opportunity to continue developing within the business and take greater ownership of its marketing activity.

Pay: £18,000.00-£20,000.00 per year
