An exciting opportunity has arose for a 30 hour dynamic, patient focused, Ward Manager to work within our Day Treatment Unit at Furness General Hospital.
We are seeking a caring, compassionate, experienced Registered Nurse for the Position of Ward Manager at our Crosland's Day Treatment unit at FGH.
As a ward manager you will develop and lead the Crosland's team, who take pride in their work and the challenges faced . You will contribute to developing new innovative ways to improve patient care and patient experience within our day treatment units.
We are seeking a caring, compassionate experienced Registered Nurse who can demonstrate excellent leadership skills, can delegate effectively, and work effectively and efficiently as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
You will be reliable, flexible, motivated, have excellent clinical and managerial skills, a commitment to ongoing learning and development, a commitment to delivering high quality care and be willing and open to embracing positive change and transformation.
The post holder will be expected to work Monday to Friday, daytime hours only no nights or weekends.
The Matron will work closely with the successful candidate providing development and support .
We operate from three main hospitals - Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI ), Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
RLI and FGH have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non- life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
Our community services for adults are provided in people’s homes, community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals and our main hospitals. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent, improve their health and manage their conditions through high quality care, advice and support.
