About the Role
As a Mechanical Fabrication & Welding Apprentice, you’ll be part of a busy workshop environment, learning from experienced professionals and developing core fabrication and welding skills.
You’ll support day-to-day operations while ensuring all work is completed in line with quality standards, company procedures, UK regulations, and client requirements.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- TIG and MIG welding
- Fabricating parts from technical drawings
- Preparing materials and components for welding
- Assisting with general fabrication and workshop tasks
- Unloading and correctly storing deliveries
- Changing and dressing grinding wheels
- Supporting the Workshop Manager as required
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety compliance
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above)
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Practical awareness and an interest in engineering
- Attention to detail and a professional approach
