About the role
This is a hands-on role in a busy shop environment where no two days are the same. You’ll be preparing specialty coffee, crafting fresh sandwiches, serving customers, and helping maintain the high standards that define the 98 Bliss brand.
What we’re looking for
- Have a genuine passion for high-quality food and specialty coffee.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Can work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Are able to work efficiently to timeframes without compromising standards.
- Work confidently both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Take pride in cleanliness, organisation, consistency, and presentation.
- Have high personal standards and care about representing the 98 Bliss brand.
- Are reliable, punctual, hardworking, and eager to learn.
Experience:
Previous barista, café, kitchen, or sandwich-making experience is preferred, but it isn’t essential.
If you don’t have direct experience, we’re looking for people who have:
- A genuine passion for food and drink.
- A basic understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling.
- An eye for presentation, consistency, and maintaining brand standards.
- A willingness to learn quickly and develop new skills.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing specialty coffees and cold drinks.
- Preparing sandwiches and food to a consistently high standard.
- Providing warm, friendly, and professional customer service.
- Working efficiently during busy service periods while meeting preparation times.
- Keeping the café clean, organised, and fully stocked.
- Following food safety, hygiene, and company procedures.
- Supporting your teammates to ensure every customer has a great experience.
