Job Summary - Magical Adventure arts and crafts facilitator
We are seeking a passionate and creative Arts and Craft Teacher to inspire children through engaging artistic activities. The successful candidate will plan and deliver a variety of arts and craft lessons from September - December (10 sessions) tailored to different age groups, fostering creativity, self-expression, and developmental skills. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to early childhood education and creative exploration. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a genuine interest in working with children.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate arts and craft lessons that encourage creativity and self-expression.
- Support children in developing fine motor skills through various artistic activities.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Incorporate educational elements such as colour theory, shapes, textures, and basic art techniques into lessons.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of children with special educational requirements.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to foster confidence in young learners.
- Maintain organised lesson plans and prepare necessary materials for each session.
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe environment for children.
Skills
- Experience working with children across early childhood or preschool settings.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies suitable for young learners.
- Background in special education is desirable, enabling tailored support for children with additional needs.
- Proven ability to tutor or provide childcare with patience, empathy, and enthusiasm.

Currently, we are looking for one afternoon per week, but this role will grow for the right candidate.

Pay: £35.00-£50.00 per hour
