Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive experience in food preparation and cooking, and a thorough understanding of food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee pizza production, manage kitchen operations, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly valued, along with supervising and team management skills. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation while fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
Oversee the entire pizza production process, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain smooth operations
Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Assist in training new team members on food preparation techniques and safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, placing orders as necessary to prevent shortages
Uphold high standards of hospitality by ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Excellent food preparation and cooking skills, with an emphasis on pizza making techniques
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Good organisational skills to oversee multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in restaurant service or serving roles is an advantage but not essential
A passion for culinary arts combined with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
