Hours of work: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday
Purpose: The sales department responds promptly to customer enquiries working accurately to prepare competitive quotations to achieve team sales targets set by the senior management team. As a sales estimator you will prepare quotations for all items from Hazlins product range.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare quotations for all items from Hazlin product range using the Klaes system.
- Provide accurate quotations using Klaes.
- Gather additional information & prices from suppliers to ensure that the quotation is complete.
- Ensure that all quotes are completed in a timely manner, in line with instructions from the Head Estimator and Sales Manager.
- Ensure that quote revisions are completed in an appropriate timeframe and that customers are kept informed of the process.
- Liaise with customers via email, telephone, and face to face where applicable providing a professional and high level of service to company clients.
- Learn to be conversant with the latest fire and acoustic certifications.
- Ensure work meets quality standards and complies with company policies including BS ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
- Collaborate with members of the sales team and other teams to solve problems, make improvements, and share information.
- Maintain health and safety standards wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) where necessary.
- Attend sales meetings and contribute as and when necessary.
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary by your line manager or senior management team.
Person specification:
- Ability to read drawings, bill pages and spreadsheets.
- Use of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
