Job Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to lead sales growth, develop strategic client relationships, and identify new business opportunities across the UK and EU markets.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and managing both existing accounts and new business development activities. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales and business development plans to achieve company growth targets
- Identify, generate, and convert new business opportunities within target markets
- Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Lead, motivate, coach, and support the sales team to achieve high performance and exceed KPIs
- Deliver ongoing training and development within the office to improve team performance, product knowledge, and sales techniques
- Conduct regular 1-to-1 meetings, performance reviews, and mentoring sessions with team members
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of new sales staff
- Monitor individual and team performance, implementing improvement plans where required
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for expansion
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations
- Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to support promotional campaigns and customer engagement activities
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract negotiation and account management
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to promote the business and develop new contacts
- Produce accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates for senior management
- Ensure all sales activities are carried out in line with company procedures, compliance requirements, and ethical standards
- Maintain accurate CRM records and effectively manage all associated administrative duties
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Sales Management, Business Development, or Account Management roles
- Strong background in developing new business opportunities and driving revenue growth
- Experience training, mentoring, and managing sales teams
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Commercial awareness with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience preparing proposals, quotations, and client presentations
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Full UK driving licence preferred

Salary negotiable depending on experience, plus uncapped commission / OTE
