Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Leader to oversee the daily operations of our bar and beverage service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in food and drink preparation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold high standards of food safety and quality. The Bar Leader will be instrumental in creating a welcoming environment, supervising staff, and maintaining the smooth running of the bar area.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the bar team to deliver outstanding service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Oversee food and beverage preparation, including cocktails, drinks, and light snacks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Manage daily operations of the bar, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies at all times.
Train new staff members on service procedures, safety protocols, and product knowledge.
Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive working environment.
Assist in menu development by suggesting new drinks or food items based on current trends and customer preferences.
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate events or special promotions within the venue.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, preferably in bars or restaurants.
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or hotel setting.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment with excellent hospitality skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
Familiarity with kitchen operations and barista experience is advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership ability with team management skills to motivate staff effectively.
Previous experience in hotel or restaurant environments is highly desirable. This role offers an engaging work environment where leadership qualities are valued alongside culinary expertise. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
