Full job description

This is a Maternity Leave Cover, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

About the role: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate full time Dental receptionist to join our growing practice. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a positive experience for our patients, focusing on those who may need extra care and attention. Your empathy and professionalism will help us uphold our tagline, Dentistry for those who don't like Dentists.

Responsibilities:

Answering phone calls with a friendly and warming greeting
Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system
Filing and retrieving paperwork, recording and receipting of petty cash
Patients records and signing of treatment plans are signed and up to date
Taking payments in practice and over the phone for all appointments booked
Scheduling follow up calls for patients for outstanding treatment and recalls
Post any lab work and record all lab work that has been returned
Daylist to be done the day before for clinicians and nurses
Ensure all policies are followed such as DNA appointments, late cancellations and payments
Ensuring patients have completed GDPR consent forms
Attend and participate in monthly practice meetings
Check stock levels for office supplies and order when necessary
Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a calm and welcoming environment.
Building a positive relationship with patients to encourage regular visits and build trust
Cashing up procedures at the end of the day
Must be willing to travel across all 3 locations Idle, Wibsey and Keighley if and when needed to cover.

Requirements:

This role is 5 day's per week, Monday- Friday
Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to remain calm under pressure and address patient concerns effective
Knowledge of administrative skills working with Word,Excel,and google drive
Exceptional organisational skills and keeping the reception area tidy
High Standard of personal presentation
