Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in catering, cooking, and restaurant operations within a professional setting.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
Support the culinary team in cooking and plating dishes for service
Help with food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met
Assist with organising ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Serve food to customers or staff as required, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
Support in catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and breakdown
Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately

The job requires you to work 10 hours a day. The shifts starts at 9am and finishes at 7pm. You would be required to work 3 days a week. Weekends are required.

Pay: £13.30 per hour
