Full job description

ROLE: Mobile Authorised Person
HOURS: 40 Hours
LOCATION: East Scotland

We're looking for a Mobile Authorised Person who will ensure compliance with JSP375 and support the effective delivery of maintenance and Additional Works across their area of responsibility.

Role Responsibilities:

Accept responsibility for the practical implementation and operation of JSP375 to support the effective and timely delivery of Additional Works, planned and response maintenance.
Produce high-quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements, issue safety programmes and Permits to Work, and ensure all documentation is completed and recorded in a timely manner.
Assess competence of Skilled Persons, provide supervision, training and coaching, and ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times.
Manage project work, liaise with stakeholders including DIO, Authorising Engineers and end users, and ensure works are completed to required standards.
Support a strong safety culture, manage risk, reduce corrective actions (CARs), and identify opportunities to support MoD carbon reduction targets.

Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

HND in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
Significant practical experience of Safe Systems of Work including JSP375 and operational delivery.
Management-level Health & Safety qualification (e.g. SMSTS) with knowledge of supervision, planning, and resource management.
Technical qualifications and training as required by JSP375 including Emergency First Aid and Fire Safety.
Strong problem-solving ability, ability to work on own initiative, and experience collaborating across teams.
