Overview

An opportunity has arisen for you to join our dynamic automotive team as an MOT Tester, Vehicle Technician, and Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle safety and performance. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for conducting MOT inspections, diagnosing vehicle issues, and performing essential repairs to ensure our customers' vehicles meet the highest standards. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will be vital in delivering top-quality service while maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment. Duties

Perform comprehensive MOT tests on a variety of vehicles to ensure compliance with legal safety standards
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues accurately using hand tools and power tools
Carry out repairs, replacements, and servicing of vehicle components such as brakes, engines, suspension systems, and exhausts
Use heavy lifting equipment safely to handle vehicle parts and assemblies during maintenance procedures
Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and services performed for each vehicle
Ensure all work is completed efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized workshop environment to promote safety and productivity

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle systems
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for various repair tasks
Experience with heavy lifting equipment and techniques to handle vehicle parts safely
Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough inspections and accurate repairs
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
Good communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to colleagues and customers
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or working on vehicles
