Employment Term: Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday

At TDR, we work with local businesses and are a leading source of advice, support and training for Engineering, Manufacturing and Science apprenticeships. Our programmes provide the most thorough grounding and strongest possible foundation for anyone committed to developing a rewarding career in STEM.

We have an exciting new opportunity and are looking for an enthusiastic Electrical or Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers! If you are motivated to take on the challenge, it would be great to hear from you!

About the role:

This role would suit someone from an Electrical or Mechanical engineering background who is looking for a new, challenging career that allows you to support and mentor apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout the apprenticeship programme. Full teacher training progression will be offered as part of the role to enhance your own personal development.

About the person:

The successful candidate will be someone who can bring not just industry knowledge and experience, but who can impart life skills and teach the apprentices to be effective and invaluable members of their workforce.

Desired Experience:

Relevant industrial/vocational experience or academic background.
Practical experience and knowledge in either mechanical or electrical engineering.
Experience of assessing, verifying and standardising.
Recent experience in a teaching or training position in further education or professional setting.
Experience of planning learning programmes, reviewing and assessment including for apprenticeship Standards.

Qualifications

Subject relevant qualification at Level 3.
Teaching Qualification or prepared to complete a teaching qualification within a given timescale.
English and Maths GCSE grade C or above or equivalent.
Assessor award and/or Verifier award or willing to work towards within a given timescale.
