Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing predictive models, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to impactful projects across various domains. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced professionals and interns eager to develop their expertise in data science.

Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and preprocess large-scale datasets from diverse sources using tools such as SQL, Python, R, and Bash (Unix shell).
Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms using frameworks like TensorFlow, Spark, and Hadoop to solve complex business problems.
Analyse data patterns through data mining techniques and utilise natural language processing (NLP) for text analysis projects.
Design and optimise database schemas to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Utilise cloud platforms such as AWS for scalable data processing and model deployment.
Create visualisations and reports that communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI, big data, and machine learning to continuously enhance analytical capabilities.

Skills

Proficiency in programming languages including Python, R, Java, C, and VBA.
Strong understanding of big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and SQL databases.
Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and SAS.
Knowledge of database design principles for efficient data organisation.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS.
Expertise in data mining techniques and natural language processing (NLP).
Ability to work with large datasets using big data technologies.
Competence in scripting with Bash (Unix shell) for automation tasks.
Excellent analytical skills combined with a strong foundation in AI concepts. This role offers an engaging environment where innovation meets practical application, providing opportunities for professional growth within the field of data science.
