Upon submitting your short application form, you will be invited to complete a Civil Service Verbal Reasoning, Numerical and Casework Skills Tests.
Please complete the online tests as soon as possible, within 24-48 hours is recommended, to allow time to complete your full application.
If you successfully pass the test, you will then be invited to complete the final stage of your application.
You must complete the online tests and your full application form by 12:00 on 17/08/2026. If you fail to complete the online test and full application form before the deadline, your application will be withdrawn.
Guidance for the test will be available when you are invited to take the test. The tests are administered online and accessed via the CS Jobs website.
There will be maintenance for online tests on Sunday 02 August 2026. This means you will be unable to access the online tests between 15:00pm and 00:00 pm. Your progress will be saved, and you will be able to continue once the tests are available again.
You will be asked to complete two written behaviours of no more than 250 words each. You will also be asked to complete an anonymised Personal Statement, of no more than 750 words which demonstrates how you meet the personal specification of the job advert.

Sift Information
The sift will take place from week commencing 17/08/2026 where you will be scored on the written Behaviours of Delivering at Pace, Communicating and Influencing and Personal Statement.
IMPORTANT: Please be advised that the sift will be conducted on a knock-out basis. An initial sift will be conducted on the Behaviour Delivering at Pace, followed by behaviour Communicating and Influencing, followed by Personal Statement. You must meet the benchmark at each stage to progress to the next stage. If you do not meet the standard at any stage, you will not receive a score for the next stages.
Interview Information
Interviews will take place from week commencing 07/09/2026 where you will be scored on the Behaviours within the advert.
In the event of a tie break, the Lead Behaviour Delivering at Pace will be used to determine outcomes.
