Are you an experienced Cybersecurity professional looking for your next career move?
If so, Bidwells is seeking a Cyber & Information Security Analyst to help protect the firm’s people, information and technology assets from evolving cyber threats.
Supporting both business-as-usual activities and strategic transformation projects, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening and maintaining the firm’s cyber security posture. Acting as a subject matter expert and escalation point for security-related incidents, requests, and enquiries, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing security systems, ensuring compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus, and promoting security awareness across the business. Working collaboratively with internal IT teams and external partners, you will proactively identify and mitigate risks, support the delivery of security initiatives, and help ensure the firm's technology and information assets remain secure and resilient.
Please note that occasional out-of-hours work may be required due to the nature of the role.
What you’ll be doing

Acting as the primary point of contact for cyber security incidents, including phishing, spam and other security threats.

Operating, maintaining and improving security systems, tools and processes across the business.

Supporting the planning, delivery and implementation of cyber security projects and initiatives.

Monitoring, investigating and responding to security alerts in collaboration with external security partners and the wider IT team.

Ensuring compliance with security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.

Identifying, assessing and mitigating cyber risks whilst maintaining the IT risk register and supporting remediation activities.

Researching emerging cyber threats whilst evaluating security technologies and recommending improvements to strengthen the firm's security controls.

Designing, implementing and enhancing security solutions and processes to protect business systems and data.

Developing and delivering cyber security awareness training and testing programmes for employees.

Providing expert support for escalated security incidents, working closely with the Service Desk and Infrastructure teams to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

Contributing to incident, problem and change management processes, ensuring security best practices are embedded throughout IT operations.
About You

Proven experience in cyber security, information security or IT infrastructure environments.

Strong understanding of security frameworks, governance, risk management and security operations.

Experience supporting, implementing and maintaining security solutions and applications.

Knowledge of threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management and security operations.

Experience with Microsoft cloud technologies, including Office 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure AD and Azure services.

Experience working within ISO 27001 and/or Cyber Essentials Plus environments.

Ability to act as a technical escalation point for security-related incidents and issues.

Experience operating within change control and configuration management processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proactive approach to continuous learning and staying up to date with emerging cyber threats and technologies.
