FT / PT Care Assistants Required

Job Summary

Join our dedicated team as a Care Assistant at our welcoming care home, where your compassionate nature and proactive attitude will make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to elderly residents, assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their independence. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will foster a warm, respectful environment where residents feel valued and cared for. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive setting while making a positive impact every day.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote dignity and independence
Support residents in engaging with activities and social interactions to enhance their well-being
Help with feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met according to care plans
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update residents’ care plans regularly
Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and families to ensure consistent and compassionate care delivery
Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a secure environment for everyone in the care home

Experience

Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided for motivated candidates
Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans electronically
A caring attitude combined with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents and colleagues
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
