Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the food service industry, whether you have prior restaurant, hotel, or culinary experience or are eager to develop your skills in a professional environment.

Duties

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure they are ready for us
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout service periods
Organising stock and ensuring storage areas are tidy and well-stocked
Supporting the kitchen staff with general duties to facilitate efficient service
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to uphold hygiene standards
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with company policies

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of kitchen operations within restaurants, hotels, or similar establishments is desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
