Full job description

Bradfords Building Supplies Ltd is a leading independent builders’ merchant based across the South West of England. We know our strength lies in our people and the service we offer and we continue to build on this by bringing great people into our teams.

Working as part of our branch team within a busy environment, the apprentice role is a great opportunity to kick-start your career with us. The role is full of variety where no two days will be the same; through shadowing and support, you’ll learn how different roles in the branch work and interact and you will spend time in different departments, learning how we operate.

Through involvement in all aspects of our sales activities, you will learn how to provide excellent service to our customers as well as growing your product knowledge. Throughout your apprenticeship, we will provide training, support and development to ensure you get the best possible start to your career.

You will have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for selling. Self-motivated and confident with a positive attitude towards providing excellent customer service, you must also be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Good PC skills, including Microsoft Office, are desirable.

In return for your commitment and contribution, we can offer you a great development opportunity with a company that has a strong reputation in the industry. You will complete the Level 2 Customer Service apprenticeship and be supported by us throughout this progamme. You will also receive a good basic salary starting well above the national apprenticeship rate with regular progress reviews.
