About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Planner / Scheduler to join our growing Social Housing maintenance team.
Working within a busy repairs and maintenance environment, you will be responsible for scheduling operatives, coordinating appointments, and ensuring responsive repairs, voids, planned maintenance and compliance works are delivered efficiently and within client KPI's
This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent communication, strong planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service for residents, clients and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily repairs, maintenance and compliance works for operatives and subcontractors.
- Maximise workforce productivity, utilisation and first-time fix performance.
- Coordinate reactive repairs, planned works, void property programmes and follow-on works.
- Receive and manage customer calls and emails, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
- Liaise with residents, clients, site managers and subcontractors to arrange appointments and access.
- Ensure all jobs are scheduled in accordance with client KPIs, SLAs and contractual requirements.
- Update and maintain job management and CRM systems accurately.
- Forward plan daily, weekly and monthly workloads to ensure resource availability.
- Monitor work in progress and proactively resolve scheduling issues.
- Manage emergency and urgent repair requests, reallocating resources as required.
- Process engineer and operative worksheets, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Order materials and coordinate deliveries to support operational requirements.
- Provide regular progress updates to clients and residents.
- Support operational managers in achieving productivity, compliance and customer satisfaction targets.
About You:
Essential
- Previous experience as a Planner, Scheduler, Repairs Planner, Resource Planner or Service Coordinator within social housing, property maintenance or facilities management.
- Experience scheduling field-based operatives, engineers or maintenance teams.
- Understanding of responsive repairs, voids, planned maintenance or compliance services.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High level of attention to detail and administration accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience working for a social housing contractor or housing association.
- Knowledge of repairs and maintenance systems.
- Understanding of social housing performance measures including appointment adherence, right-first-time and customer satisfaction.

Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday
