We have an exciting opportunity in our expanding team for multiple CAD Designers to join a well-established organisation, a market leader in the supply of security doors, gates, windows, grilles etc.
The ideal candidate will be a Design Draughtsperson with a minimum of two years’ experience in the steel industry using 2D Autocad. You will be joining a friendly team of CAD Designers responsible for the development of new projects to produce high quality technically accurate drawings and documentation. Personal specification – CAD Designer:
· 2D AutoCAD essential; 3D Autocad and Revit advantageous but not essential
· Minimum of two years’ experience within a steel fabrication/architectural metalwork industry
· Experience working to design standards
· Use of in-house systems and standard drawing office procedures for design processes
· Site surveying experience advantageous
· Full UK driving licence
Key responsibilities – CAD Draughtsperson:
· Work on new projects to produce high quality, technically accurate, drawings and documentation
· Prepare and present product designs to clients and management for approval
· Produce fabrication and bills of materials using 2D
· Interact with other clients and colleagues to exchange ideas
· Role will involve travel and may involve infrequent overnight stays
