About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Production Planner to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and managing production schedules in a manufacturing environment, maintaining stock availability, and helping to ensure operational standards within a BRCGS-certified business.
Experience of the polythene extrusion, flexographic print process & bag conversion preferred but not essential. Experience of Odoo CRM system is also preferred but not essential.
The successful candidate will have experience working within a quality-focused production setting and a strong understanding of BRCGS standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily & weekly production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery targets.
- Coordinate production activities with manufacturing and sales teams.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure the availability of raw materials and relevant consumables.
- Manage schedule changes and respond effectively to production challenges and customer priorities.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to production output, waste, service levels, and stock accuracy.
- Ensure BRCGS standards & other relevant compliance requirements are adhered to.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Production Planning or Scheduling role within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of BRCGS standards and quality management systems.
- Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with a small team.
- Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of Odoo CRM system preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
