Fixed Term Until July 2027

Salary £32,407 Per Annum

37 Hour Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.

University Centre Bishop Burton is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Lecturer in Criminology to join our growing Higher Education team.

As a Lecturer in Criminology, you will play a key role in delivering an engaging and applied curriculum that prepares students for the graduate employment market.

You will:

Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the criminology curriculum
Inspire students through interactive and practical learning experiences
Monitor and support student progress, attendance and achievement
Contribute to curriculum development, innovation, and quality assurance processes
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the student experience

This is a varied and rewarding role where your teaching will directly shape learners’ futures.

We are looking for someone who is:

Qualified to degree level in Criminology or a related discipline
An experienced or aspiring educator (teaching qualification desirable or willingness to achieve)
Passionate about student success and inclusive learning
A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Digitally confident and able to use technology to enhance learning
Resilient, adaptable, and committed to high professional standards

Experience in teaching, training, or industry-related roles will be highly valued.
