Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our two hospitality establishments. You will be expected to ravel between two locations spending approximately 2.5 days in each site.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
This role involves supervising staff, managing food safety standards, and ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the business to uphold our reputation for excellence. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of food preparation, culinary quality, and team management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all operational activities within the restaurant or hospitality venue, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee quality and consistency in line with health and safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen operations, including food safety compliance, food production, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house staff such as servers and baristas, fostering a positive working environment.
- Develop staff schedules, organise training programmes, and oversee performance management to ensure optimal team productivity.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor financial performance, optimise resource utilisation, and implement strategies to increase profitability.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations within the establishment.
- Collaborate with suppliers for procurement of ingredients and supplies necessary for daily operations.
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our commitment to hospitality excellence.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential.
- Extensive restaurant experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food production processes, and culinary techniques.
- Previous leadership roles demonstrating team management skills in busy service settings.
- Experience working in hotel environments or managing multiple service areas is advantageous.
- Knowledge of barista services or serving roles is considered beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
