Quality packaging inspector:
The Quality packaging inspectors mission is to take ownership for the day to day quality checks, packaging, carrying out daily preventative maintenance events and reporting and issues related to the quality of product and machinery to the Process co-ordinator to ensure quality product is packaged on time to the highest standard.
Weekend Shift, Rotation, 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am (12 hour shifts each weekend). Flexibility required to cover shifts in the week and training needs.
Quality packaging inspectors main duties and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Process Coordinator the quality packaging inspector will be responsible for autonomous working and focus on the following tasks:
- Run machines allocated and follow the "Standard Operating Procedures" for each machine. (S.O.P.)
- Perform "Process Inspection" as outlined in S.O.P. ie. Inspect product at the frequency out lined and for all faults listed in the relevant standard operating procedures.
- Report all and any deviations from acceptable quality standards immediately to the Process co-ordinator.
- Inform the Process co-ordinator of any "Hazards" to product safety, i.e. Pest, sharps, oil, glass, hard plastic. (Hazard Analysis).
- Report any machine issues immediately to the process coordinator.
- Ensure all documentation present at assigned machines is correct.
- Ensure all batch numbers recorded are correct and up to date. (Masterbatch, Production Authorisation number, etc.)
- Make, Pack, label, and Palletise finished boxes to the highest standards.
- Adhere to "Good Manufacturing Practice" principles (GMP).
- Ensure work area is clean, tidy and free of spillage of Material, Masterbatch, Oil and Water.
- Move finished pallets from automation corridor to warehouse, wrap finished goods pallets and store in correct location in warehouse.
- Complete all daily preventative maintenance tasks following task specific SOPs.
- Perform any reasonable task or request outlined by the process coordinator or production manager.
