We have an exciting new vacancy for a Conference and Banqueting Porter to join our team at Grand Hotel Gosforth Park. Set in 12 acres of parkland next to Newcastle Racecourse, the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park is just 10 minutes’ drive from Newcastle’s centre. It offers 178 luxurious, modern rooms and superb leisure facilities.

Your duties will include:

Supporting conference and banqueting room set ups, ensuring all event requirements are fulfilled.
Assisting with the smooth running of conferences, functions and events throughout service.
Moving and arranging furniture, equipment and event materials to meet operational requirements.
Helping with the general cleaning, presentation and upkeep of conference and banqueting areas.
Maintaining all equipment in proper working condition and reporting any maintenance concerns.
Delivering consistent, excellent and professional customer service at all times.

The successful candidate will be organised and punctual with excellent communication skills. This is a hands on role and will involve manual set up duties and supporting the operational delivery of events. Shifts may vary depending on business needs, meaning you may be required to work weekends and evenings.
