Full job description

TimberStore UK Ltd in Gulworthy is seeking an additional team member for the role of Salesperson. While experience within the timber and builders’ merchant industry is useful, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn are essential requirements. If you’re passionate about serving customers, learning about timber products, and contributing to a growing team, this opportunity could be a great fit for you!

About the Role:
Customer Service: As a trade counter salesperson, you’ll interact with customers face-to-face and over the phone. Your goal is to provide excellent service, assist with inquiries, and help customers find the right products.
Order Processing: You’ll take orders from customers, handle payments (both card and cash), and ensure accurate processing of transactions.
Shop Maintenance: Keeping the trade counter and shop clean, organized, and well-presented is part of your responsibilities.
Picking stock and assisting in the loading of customers vehicle
Checking stock deliveries & putting stock away
Picking of stock for deliveries
Delivering products to customers if required
Performing any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required.
Please note this role does require occasional heavy lifting.

Ideal Candidate:

Previous customer service and/or sales experience, ideally from a merchant background.
Passionate about delivering excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
Strong communication skills.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Alternate Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Bank Holidays: Closed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £29,410.00 per year
