Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for healthcare and attention to detail to contribute to patient well-being in a professional environment. The role involves working closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective medication management.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
Assist pharmacists in preparing and verifying medication orders
Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering queries related to medication and usage instructions
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient information
Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards
Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising pharmaceutical supplies
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations and maintains cleanliness and organisation

Requirements

Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating compassion and professionalism when interacting with patients and team members
Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team in a fast-paced environment
Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are preferred but not essential
A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to legal standards within pharmacy practice
