Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cheer/Gymnastics Coaches to join our vibrant team. This role involves inspiring and guiding young athletes through their training programmes, fostering a positive environment that encourages skill development, teamwork, and confidence. The successful candidate will have a passion for sports coaching and teaching, with the ability to motivate participants of various ages and skill levels.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging cheerleading and gymnastics classes tailored to different age groups and abilities
Demonstrate proper techniques for routines, stunts, tumbling, and safety procedures
Provide personalised feedback to help athletes improve their skills and confidence
Monitor participants’ progress and maintain accurate records of attendance and achievements
Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and enjoyment
Organise warm-up sessions, drills, and cool-down routines to minimise injury risk
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding programme progress and upcoming events

Requirements

Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly cheerleading or gymnastics
Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes
Excellent organisational skills to plan sessions effectively
Ability to work well within a team as well as independently
Knowledge of safety standards related to cheerleading and gymnastics activities
Enthusiastic attitude with a genuine passion for sports education
Relevant coaching certifications or willingness to obtain necessary qualifications prior to employment is desirable
