The Challenge…
As the shift supervisor you will be responsible for…
- Supervise a team of HGV Technicians, ensuring top-quality work and productivity.
- Organise workloads, schedule jobs, and keep operations running smoothly.
- Maximise shift performance through problem-solving, coaching, and team development.
- Perform hands-on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs and LCVs.
- Ensure compliance with DVSA, Health & Safety standards, and VOSA regulations.
- Mentor and support team members to enhance skills and performance.
- Provide progress updates to management and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct routine maintenance, safety checks, and prepare vehicles for MOT.
- Sign off on My Check documents and carry out quality control on repairs.
- Maintain workshop housekeeping and ensure adherence to H&S standards.
- Attend required training courses to stay up-to-date.
What we’re looking for…
- Qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an HGV workshop
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs and LCVs.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
You’ll really hit the ground running if you have…
- A full HGV Licence (not essential)
- Experience with the Renault Trucks and Isuzu Trucks product
- Experience in a Renault Trucks and Isuzu Trucks dealership
