Part-Time Dispensing Optician

Charles Lea Opticians Looking for a dispensing role where you can actually enjoy your day?

We’re a friendly independent opticians in Mapperley, Nottingham looking for an upbeat and personable Dispensing Optician to join our small team on a part-time basis.

If you enjoy building genuine relationships with patients, love stylish eyewear, and prefer a relaxed pace over conveyor-belt testing, we’d love to hear from you.

Hours

* Thursdays & Fridays: 9am–5pm * 30 minute unpaid lunch break *

Alternate Saturdays: 9am–1pm

Salary £28,000–£33,000 pro rata depending on experience.

Newly qualified Dispensing Opticians are welcome to apply.

About the Role

You’ll mainly be:

Dispensing spectacles.

Helping patients choose frames and lenses.

Adjustments, repairs and collections.

Carrying out spectacle checks with our automated focimeter.

Delivering excellent customer service.

We use Optinet Flex and order through Zeiss and Hoya. Our frame range includes brands such as:

* Boss * Jaguar * Ted Baker * Kate Spade * Wolf

with frames ranging from £59–£249.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is: Friendly and approachable.

Positive and upbeat.

Organised and reliable.

Confident working independently.

Passionate about great patient care and eyewear.

Experience in an independent practice would be great, but attitude and personality are just as important to us.
