The overall objective of the Central Reservations Agent is to take room reservations for the Oceana collection of hotels and to maximise occupancy across the group, to be motivated, expand the business and achieve targets and budgets set.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To promote the Properties at all times in a professional manner to the high standards required by Oceana Hotels.
Positive attitude and good communications skills.
A friendly and pleasant personality
Good use and understanding of the English language
Develop a good understanding of each of the Oceana Collection properties, to maximise occupancy and average room rate.
Understand the seasonal demand on the business.
Have a good working knowledge of both Guestline the hotel PMS system and Profitrooms the hotels CRS system.
Ensure all incoming enquiries (telephone, e-mail, written, live-chat and B2B) are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
Making sure all reservations are entered correctly with correct and detailed notes for accurate statistics and smooth and correct check-in by the receptions.
Making sure the hotels are aware of any changes to reservations, meal bookings and date changes
Have a good understanding of promotions, offers and special events and key dates throughout the year.
Balancing the days takings, between the PMS and PDQ machines
To be fully aware of and comply with hotels and company rules and regulations as identified in the Staff Handbook
