Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques, particularly TIG welding, to contribute to our production processes.

Duties

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on a variety of materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
Conduct quality checks on welds and fabricated components to ensure compliance with standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow.

Skills

Proficiency in TIG welding and welding techniques.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Strong understanding of sheet metal work and mechanical principles.
Ability to read technical drawings accurately.
Good basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
Knowledge of assembly processes related to metal fabrication.
Mechanical knowledge combined with attention to detail for precise work.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about metal fabrication and welding craftsmanship.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
