Full job description

Mademoiselle Desserts make frozen cakes and desserts for pubs restaurants and coffee shops around the UK.

Competitive salary.

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, following a rotating shift pattern:

Morning: 06:00 – 14:30

Afternoon: 14:00 – 22:30

Day: 08:30 – 17:00

(MAAMMDAM schedule)

Flexibility on day hours by mutual agreement.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a forward-thinking, multi-skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join our existing team

You will be steadfast under pressure, able to work both independently and collaboratively

Perform planned maintenance on plant and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and minimise breakdowns

Skills and Qualifications:

Electrical qualification, ideally supported by an Electrical Engineering apprenticeship (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC).

Hands-on experience with:

415V motor control, star/delta control, variable speed drives, DC drives, 24V control systems, safety circuits, and PLC diagnostics.

Basic mechanical skills are required.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proactive and highly motivated, capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Experience in a multi-skilled engineering role; familiarity with a food manufacturing environment is a plus but not essential. Experience of a fast-paced environment is essential.

Experience of CMMS systems would be desirable.
