Full job description

Job Title: Piano Teacher
Location: Oldham based High School
Start Date: June 2026
Hours: 2 hours per day, with an increase in hours in Sept 2026

Are you a fun-loving, energetic, and creative piano teacher who loves inspiring children and making them feel like VIPs? Anthem Tuition is looking for you!

We deliver engaging 1:1 and small group music lessons in schools, and we’re excited to welcome a passionate piano teacher to our team. This role will be based in a high school in Oldham with an immediate start.

The Role

Teach piano (to at least Grade 5 standard).
2 hours per day (increasing in September) - teaching days and times are relatively flexible
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that make learning fun as well as helping students prepare for GCSE performances and graded examinations
Support students’ progress through weekly lesson notes, practice homework, and performance opportunities.
Prepare resources- print music, plan lessons, and ensure students have everything they need.
Encourage participation- if a student misses a lesson, you’ll help track them down to ensure good attendance.

Strong communication skills - able to explain concepts clearly to students of all ages.
Passion for music education - especially for working with children and teens.
A team player - someone who works well with others and embraces new ideas.

Desirable Qualifications

Grade 8 level or above on your instrument(s).
Degree in Music, Music Performance, or Music Technology.
Previous teaching experience (especially with GCSE/BTEC students)
