Overview
As a member in our kitchen you need to work well under pressure. Most of the time you will work as part of a team. Someone that is adaptable and confident in a commercial kitchen is best suited to this position. We're on the look-out for a keen and hard working individual for this role.
Hours:
Full-Time Permanent
35 - 40 hrs per week. Must be available mid-week and alternating weekends.
6:30am - 3pm
Kitchen Team Member Job roles:
- Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards to eliminate cross-contamination
- Washing, prepping & cooking of menu items
- Operate ovens, ensure proper time/temp of all hot & cold foods
- Keeping on top of dirty dishes, i.e. periodically running the dishwasher between other tasks
- Maintain clean food-safe preparation and demonstrate proper food handling area throughout shift
- Maintain good communications and working relationship with other Team members
- Managing fresh food stock intake and rotation of dates in refrigerator
- Maintain the 5* Food Safety Rating
- Understanding of allergens and taking measures to prevent cross-contamination.
Experience:
Minimum 1 years experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
