J2 Flooring is a fast-growing luxury vinyl flooring brand supplying retailers throughout the UK. As our business continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced, motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team in Burscough.

No two days are the same, and you will be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations, helping to ensure our customers receive the excellent service and quality products that J2 Flooring is known for.
The Role
This is a varied hands-on warehouse position involving:
- Picking and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Preparing both courier and palletised shipments
- Cutting, preparing and packaging product samples
- Loading courier vehicles and collection vehicles
- Unloading containers and incoming deliveries
- Operating a forklift truck safely and efficiently
- Processing returned goods
- Carrying out stock checks and stock audits
- Stock replenishment and stock rotation
- Working in line with FIFO (First In, First Out) stock management procedures
- Booking goods in and maintaining accurate stock records
- Assisting customers and drivers collecting orders from site
- Maintaining high standards of warehouse organisation, cleanliness and safety
- Working closely with colleagues across different departments
- Supporting the wider warehouse operation as required

What We're Looking For:
We are looking for someone who is:
- Polite, professional and well-mannered

- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Organised and able to work efficiently under pressure
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Committed to maintaining a safe working environment
- Flexible and willing to support different areas of the business when required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous warehouse experience of at least 3 years including the use of a forklift truck
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Experience picking and packing customer orders
- Experience using warehouse stock control systems
- Excellent computer skills, including confidence using emails and basic Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with stock rotation and FIFO procedures
- Excellent time management skills
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
A current forklift truck licence would be a significant advantage.
Candidates with previous forklift experience whose licence has expired may also be considered.
What We Offer
- Full-time permanent position (subject to a satisfactory 3 month probationary period)
- Monday to Friday working hours
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
